EpandMedia is awarded coveted 2010 Gold Pollie Award for radio ad.

EpandMedia won a Gold 2010 Pollie Award from the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC), for “Shake Things Up,” a radio ad the company’s Len Epand produced for New York City’s Bloomberg for Mayor 2009 campaign.

“Shake Things Up” produced in July, was credited with the successful vote in early August 2009 by the New York State Legislature extending mayoral control of schools. Additionally, it contributed to Bloomberg going on to beat opponent Democrat Bill Thompson despite a wave of anti-incumbency similar to that which swept New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine from office. Squier Knapp Dunn’s lead consultant Bill Knapp and consultant Keith Kincaid contributed to the successful ad.

The American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) is a bipartisan organization of political professionals. Their annual Pollie Awards, a national showcase for excellence in political communications, was held at the close of a three-day late March 2010 conference held in Phoenix, Arizona.
