A City For Everyone
Commissioned by Metropolitan Public Strategies, EpandMedia produced a :60 and :30 second TV spot outlining NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio’s affordable housing plan. The ad was created around clips from the mayor’s 2015 State of the City speech, which focused on his affordable housing plan. The plan emphasizes “preserving the culture and character” of neighborhoods, which the ad highlights by featuring dozens of New Yorkers representing varying ages and ethnicities in neighborhoods around the city.
EpandMedia’s Len Epand directed the spots, with editing and mixing by EpandMedia’s Kyle Oppenheimer.
Ball Game
November 2016, New Jersey will vote on a referendum that would allow for casinos outside of Atlantic City, where gambling is restricted to under current laws. The referendum, approved by the Legislature and Gov. Chris Christie after months of Democratic infighting, gives voters very little certainties about what they would be agreeing to. Commissioned by agency Metropolitan Public Strategies, EpandMedia produced TV :30 “Ball Game” and radio :60 “Trenton Can’t Be Trusted To Keep Promises”, which warn voters about the dangers of this bill.
Middle Class Squeeze
EpandMedia has completed producing the TV ad campaign for Bloomberg For Mayor 2009 in conjunction with ad agency Squier Knapp Dunn Communication. The ads helped New York City Mayor R Bloomberg win a third term victory over Democratic NYC Comptroller William Thompson. The victory was considered significant as the mayor faced an anti-incumbent atmosphere similar to that which brought down New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine.
The campaign was led by Chief Consultant Bill Knapp, with support from Creative Director Matt Herath, Producer Len Epand, Executive Producer Damon Miranda, and consultants Keith Kincaid and Sally Francis. EpandMedia also sound designed and mixed all of the ads, and produced several radio ads.
