EpandMedia congratulates winners from the 2015 elections. We were honored to once again creative direct and produce TV sound designs and radio ads that were associated with winning Campaigns. Included are a collection of our favorites.
Vince Mazzeo
Commissioned by consulting firm SKDKnickerbocker, EpandMedia has collaborated on a series of radio ads for New Jersey State Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo’s campaign.
Through a clever husband and wife skit “Draft Kings” educates the electorate about opponent Will Pauls’ support for casinos in Northern New Jersey, which would devastate the economy in the rest of the state.
“No Help” is New Jersey State Senator Jim Whelan’s endorsement of Vince Mazeo and running mate Colin Bell. Unlike their obstinate opponents, Bell and Mazzeo will work with Whelan and others to protect the casinos in Atlantic County, work against higher property taxes, and fight to keep jobs in the county.
With the help of these ads democratic incumbent Vince Mazzeo of New Jersey’s 2nd Legislative District won re-election to his second term in what was considered one of the closest races in New Jersey.
Jim Hood
Commissioned by SKDKnickerbocker, EpandMedia sound designed the TV ad “Lapdog” for Jim Hood’s re-election campaign.
Hood was first elected to attorney general of Mississippi in 2003, and this fall former federal prosecutor Mike Hurst challenged him. “Lapdog” literally depicts Hurst as scrawny little dog to highlight his weakness on crime and corporate corruption cases. This imagery is juxtaposed with Hood’s record as Attorney General hunting down criminals, and cracking down on corrupt corporations and politicians.
Because of ads like this on November 3, Attorney General Hood secured his third four-year term with 54 percent of the vote to Hurst’s 46 percent. This was a highly contested race and Hood was able to win in a red state where the Republican governor was re-elected overwhelmingly.
