EPANDMEDIA SOUND DESIGNS & PROVIDES MUSIC FOR “KATRINA 10” VIDEO LAUNCHING CAMPAIGN CELEBRATING NEW ORLEANS’ PROGRESS 10 YEARS FOLLOWING HURRICANE KATRINA

New Orleans has launched a major initiative to show the world how far it has come back after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina ten years ago.

Called Katrina 10, the Campaign’s centerpiece — featured on its newly launched website of the same name — is this six minute video. The video, produced by SKDKnickerbocker with musical curation and sound design by EpandMedia, features interviews with members of the community. The interviews, many conducted by New Orleans’ Mayor Mitch Landrieu, detail the rebuilding of  the city and its newly-finished water-resistant infrastructure, and reflects the resilient spirit of the New Orleans people.

EpandMedia’s Len Epand creative directed the music selection and sound design, with mixing and editing by Kyle Oppenheimer.

The “Katrina 10” video played for thousands of New Orleans citizens during a live event in the city launching the campaign.
